Boulder Mountain Ranch
Founded by Ladd and Cassi Dick of Oakley, Utah, Boulder Mountain Ranch has grown from a family dream into one of the premier horseback riding and sleigh ride experiences in Northern Utah.
Ladd, who was raised on a Utah ranch, developed a lifelong passion for animals and rodeo, riding bulls throughout high school, college, and into his professional years. He and Cassi first met at the Pleasant Grove Strawberry Days Rodeo in 1990, and one year later, their shared love for the Western lifestyle became the foundation for both their marriage and future business.
In 2000, Boulder Mountain Ranch began its journey by acquiring the Sleigh Ride concession at the renowned Deer Valley Ski Resort. For two decades, guests enjoyed magical evening sleigh rides departing from the Stein Eriksen Lodge, an experience that became a cherished winter tradition. By 2004, the company expanded into guided horseback rides at Deer Valley, allowing visitors to explore Utah’s breathtaking landscapes year-round.
After 20 successful years, the winter sleigh ride business was sold to family members, allowing Ladd and Cassi to spend winters in sunny Arizona. Boulder Mountain Ranch partnered with Gibb and Jane Kerr of Sun Horses of Arizona, combining their passion and expertise to grow the business even further. Today, the team operates horseback riding adventures at Deer Valley Resort, Promontory Club in Park City, Oakley Ranch, and Wolf Creek Ranch—offering unforgettable experiences throughout Utah’s stunning mountain country during the spring, summer, and fall.
